SouthWest Adolescent Group (SWAG) is seeking a program assistant/youth advocate for SWAG House, Grant County’s new teen center. This is a unique position and requires flexibility, creativity and patience. The program assistant/youth advocate will be responsible for the following:

Helping run the day-to-day activities/programs. This may include setting up materials, interacting with teen participants, and offering support if needed.

Running errands
-
Opening and closing procedures of the center

Listening and responding to participants’ needs

Being a trustworthy adult who participants can count on
Requirements:

Must be able to multitask in potentially loud and stressful environments

Must remain flexible as your duties may change from day to day, depending on the needs of the program.

Must possess a driver’s license

Must be 21+
-
Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)

Must be punctual and reliable, as there are children depending on you

Must pass a criminal background check
-
CPR and First Aid Certification required (after hire)
Experience working with teenagers is preferred, but SWAG House will offer training and workshops as needed and available.
Hours are Monday-Friday 4:30p-9:30p and some Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be available for at least 25 hours per week.
